Purpose of this portfolio

The purpose of this portfolio is to display my journey and growth as an instructional designer, an educator, and a lifelong learner. When I first enrolled in the Learning Design and Technologies master's program at the University of South Carolina, I had very little experience or knowledge in instructional design, but I did have a background in education. But as I progressed through this program, I developed a strong understanding of how to create effective, accessible learning experiences, deepened my interest in neuroscience and learning, and found new ways to teach future learners.

While this portfolio highlights the growth in my creation of interactive eLearning modules, LMS, formative evaluations, and more, it also highlights the challenges that I had to overcome as a beginner instructional designer for each artifact.

Finally, this portfolio is important to me because it not only captures the creations of my work through this program, but also shows growth in learning, persistence in not giving up, and change as an educator. It has provided me with great insight into how I can revolutionize my teaching for my learners as technology keeps rapidly expanding.
